YIN YOGA

  • In yin yoga, passive poses are held while seated or laying down.

  • Because gravity helps support the body, poses can be held longer.

  • As you hold the pose, you get a deeper stretch into the connective tissues, allowing mind and body to relax.

  • Modifications are encouraged, with the use of optional props.

CHRONIC PAIN & STRESS MANAGEMENT

Please consult with your doctor before practicing yoga or any form of exercise.

  • Through our yin yoga practice, we give ourselves permission to show up for ourselves both on and off the mat.

  • Some days, we may want extra support and grounding- we can modify poses and use props.

  • Other days, moving through poses may be too much strain on the body.

    • We can hold poses for less time, and focus on the breath.

  • Mindfully Managing Invisible Pain
